This is an archetypal example of a book I would classify as “ling fi” (like sci fi, but with a heavy language element). I keep meaning to track it down and read it. Other examples of ling fi books I’ve enjoyed are A Clockwork Orange, Ella Minnow Pea, and China Mieville’s Embassytown. Anyone else know of any more examples of ling fi to recommend?
